Coffee Bean International Inc. (CBI), founded in 1972, is one of North America’s first roasters of specialty coffees. CBI’s focus is on the upper end of the quality spectrum, and is regarded as one of the industry’s premier roaster/wholesalers. CBI has built a strong reputation for providing high quality coffee and related products to the specialty retail trade. Recently, it has expanded its market to include multi-unit retail stores where coffee is either the primary source of revenue or a strong secondary source. CBI offers over 100 different and unique specialty coffees, including single-origins, dark roasts, certified organic and fair trade, flavors, blends, and espressos. CBI private labels coffee for it’s large regional and national multi-unit chains as well as markets coffees under the Panache®, Cafe’ Tierra® and Blue Parrot® Coffee Works brand names to small independent retailers.
